Sandnix can divide its body individually to efficiently roll down mountainsides for fast, downward travel. If its body is damaged, it will roll in mud and sit in the scorching sun, filling the cracked spots and hardening its body again.

There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Sandnix from losing direction while tunneling. When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly.
