Ivydeen are often found in mangrove swamps, living amongst the submerged roots of the trees. They spend most of the time at the surface of the water, photosynthesizing and allowing their flowers to be pollinated by Bug-type Pokémon.
In the springtime, schools of Ivydeen can be seen swimming up falls and rivers. To support its bulb, Ivydeen's legs grow sturdy.
