By accident, Joltxen discovered how to turn heat into electricity through friction. It drags its stick along the dirt to build up a strong, static charge that it can wield against foes. The friction from said dragging can leave behind scorch marks.
When the twig is plucked from its tail, friction sets the twig alight. Its cells generate weak power that is amplified by its fur's static electricity to drop thunderbolts.
