The gem on its forehead is said to be able to sense rainy weather since Starwile seems to only appear dancing in the rain. It catches small Pokémon in its umbrella-like mouth where they are left to be digested.
Its giant jaws are actually steel horns that transformed. It gathers with others in the night and makes its red core glow on and off with the twinkling stars.
