Since it has little sense of direction, when Spinshrew digs tunnels with its paws, it ends up making them crooked. It tends to live in very large colonies and cares for weaker members by bringing them food until they recover.
When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. It is distinguished by a pattern of spots that is always different.
