For some reason, Solocargo use laboratory glassware as shells to protect their soft bodies. It's theorized that the leftover chemicals in unwashed flasks and beakers are a food source for them.
The shell on its back is made of hardened magma. Because their bodies are enveloped in a special liquid, they can survive in any environment.
