When threatened, Zunat will emit a high-pitched screech that can cause hearing damage if exposed for too long. It uses its cry for echolocation due to its lack of eyesight.
Its coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body is said to have evolved for protection. While living in pitch-black caverns, their eyes gradually grew shut and deprived them of vision.
