An ancient text exists that seems to be a transcription of a panegyric praising a group of Woolurk for fighting off a group of sea monsters and saving the city. They continue to do what they can to protect people and their Pokémon.
It is said that POKENAME were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them. POKENAME usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally.
