Volcadon herds make a circle around their young and weak when they spread their orange fins to absorb sunlight for energy. When confronted by a threat, they bellow and shake their flashy frills in a warding display.

Volcadon are docile Pokémon found in colder climates, often moving in herds. When threatened, they shield their young with hardened faces, their frills scattering scorching embers to drive off attackers.

Any frontal attack is repulsed. A sea of fire engulfs the surroundings of their battles, since they use their six wings to scatter their ember scales.
