Venunix digs its tail deep into the ground to reach sources of water, but keeps its head and flower above the surface. It slowly turns its body to track the movement of the sun.

There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Venunix from losing direction while tunneling. Venunix's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
