When at rest, Venubat can be easily mistaken for Venusaur. They use this similarity to safely hide from Pokémon that wouldn't attack the large Grass-Type but would be dangerous to them, the deception only being revealed when they take off.

Over the course of evolution, its hind legs turned into wings. Venubat's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
