Venokern require lots of sunlight to grow, but often fall asleep at dawn because they are nocturnal creatures. Many rely on the light released from street lamps to nourish their body.

Venokern try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution. Its coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body is said to have evolved for protection.
