Venimantis lives in dense rainforests, hiding amongst damp foliage. It will leap at prey from above, sinking its venomous claws into their heads until they are too weak to stand.
When the sun rises, Venimantis spreads its four leaves and bathes in the sunlight. It discovers what is going on around it by using the feelers on its head and tail.
