Umbmuku only breaches onto land at night when the moon is highest in the sky. It expels its innards to expose them to moonlight it absorbs for energy, its crescent markings glowing bright as it does so.

It can eject its internal organs, which it uses to engulf its prey or battle enemies. Umbmuku evolved from exposure to the moon's energy pulses.
