Swampossom inhabits muddy, swampy regions, coating itself in some of the grime before performing any dances it creates. Despite the mucky habitat, it still enjoys pretty flowers, its dances summoning a few colorful plants to liven up the area.

Its flower petals deepen in color through exposure to sunlight. If it senses the approach of a storm and a tidal wave, it protects its seaside nest by piling up boulders.
