Goper is sometimes mistaken for a Caterpie from a distance. There are many reports of young Trainers attempting to battle Goper, only to be rushed to the nearest Pokémon Center. After a battle, wild Goper celebrate by jumping into water.
Goper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. It is said to live in volcanic craters on mountain peaks.
