The glowing lantern face on Gourdos's abdomen attracts prey to its web, where they become stuck and it fully webs them up with the aid of its many hands. The webbing has a sugary pumpkin flavor, but is very sticky until washed.

Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls. Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon.
