Carlow defend themselves by firing beams from the gem-like parts of their bodies while taking to the air to put distance between themselves and their foes. Their white feathers are softer than silk and are treasured by many collectors.

Although it is small, it is very courageous. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
