Carmander refract light through the crystals on their tails to create brilliant sparkling displays. If they angle their prisms correctly, they can focus the beams to create small sparks from the concentrated heat.
The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
