Golipert's claws have the ability to crush boulders with ease. They live in mud, bursting out when something gets close to their nests. During storms, Golipert will move their eggs to shipwrecks; this behavior is being further studied by researchers.

If it senses the approach of a storm and a tidal wave, it protects its seaside nest by piling up boulders. It battles skillfully with its six arms, but spends most of its time peacefully meditating in caves deep beneath the sea.
