Hiding beneath the desert sand, Trapkern extend their plant-like tongues out of the ground to lure in prey. If something lands within their jaws, Trapkern will rise just long enough to clamp down before sinking back down with their prey in tow.

Trapkern try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution. Its big jaws crunch through boulders.
