Mawdos hangs on tree branches or cliff faces, dropping onto unsuspecting prey with its open maw, and trapping it with its web-like saliva for slow digestion. If found in urban areas, it must be relocated so as not to be a danger to children.
Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls. Its giant jaws are actually steel horns that transformed.
