The bristles of its fur are very resistant; in fact, they are used to make brushes for grooming the fur of other Pokémon. With its claws and fangs, Piloshrew digs through the frozen ground to make its den as comfortable as possible.
When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. A Piloshrew is covered by a thick coat of long hair for enduring freezing cold.
