During storms it seeks out the highest peak or building and climbs it in order to be struck by lightning, on which it feeds. Afterwards it launches itself from the heights and rolls down to slopes below.
It is said to live in volcanic craters on mountain peaks. When a storm approaches, it competes with others to scale heights that are likely to be stricken by lightning.
