Tanturne hunt their prey by night and hide in dark caves during the day, rooting themselves firmly into the ground and letting their vines grow deep into the desert groundwater. They are very vulnerable in this state as they're unable to move.
After spending thousands of years in harsh deserts, its blood transformed into the same substances as sand. Its vines snap off easily and painlessly if they are grabbed, allowing it to make a quick getaway.
