Although Salatar has wings, flapping them does not provide much lift for its heavy body. Salatar mostly uses them to steer as it propels itself through the air by expelling high-pressure gas.

A Salatar creates a gas inside its body that it ejects under compression to propel itself like a jet. After many long years, its cellular structure underwent a sudden mutation to grow wings.
