Poryder has a shell that, when closed, protects it from most attacks, even in cyberspace. It has been tested as an antivirus but failed because of vulnerabilities to malware when its shell was open.
At night, it burrows a hole in the seafloor with its broad tongue to make a place to sleep. It is capable of reverting itself entirely back to program data in order to enter cyberspace.
