Porydos is usually found in dark caves, but it sometimes ventures outside to hunt. It will pounce on anything smaller than it while in the dark, but is much more passive while exposed to daylight.
Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls. It is capable of reverting itself entirely back to program data in order to enter cyberspace.
