Though capable of sudden bursts of speed, Polilous are typically slow swimmers. Their twin heads rarely agree on which direction to swim, resulting in them drifting in the water whilst struggling to go in two different directions.

Since their two heads do not get along and compete with each other for food, they always eat too much. It is possible to see this Pokémon's spiral innards right through its thin skin.
