Paratine flies above forests, scattering spores as it searches for rotting wood to devour. It is often accompanied by other Pokémon infected by the same fungus, who will tightly cling to Paratine so that their own spores are also scattered.

On sunny days, schools of Paratine can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves. Paratine are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
