Oddsect buries itself during the day, leaving only its leaves above the ground. Pokémon poachers will search for it after it resurfaces at night, as Oddsect's plant-like body has a wide range of medical applications when dried into a powder.

Oddsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. This Pokémon grows by absorbing moonlight.
