Nidobat rarely leave their cavernous homes and only do so to hunt for Bug-type Pokémon. By sinking their venomous fangs into the cracks of cocoons, they can melt through the tough shell to reach the juicy nutrients inside.
While living in pitch-black caverns, their eyes gradually grew shut and deprived them of vision. When it is with its friends or family, its barbs are tucked away to prevent injury.
