Metaor takes advantage of its ability to fly to tackle Flying-type Pokémon to stop them from attacking Metapod. While Metaor can be defeated and eaten, most Flying-type Pokémon avoid any altercations with it.
Originally making its home in the ozone layer, it hurtles to the ground when the shell enclosing its body grows too heavy. Its shell is as hard as an iron slab.
