Maroraid chews on the bones of undersea creatures to gain nutrients. If it neglected to do so, its teeth and water-spitting capacity would stagnate, leaving it less able to defend itself from larger creatures.

A Maroraid uses its abdominal muscles to forcefully expel swallowed water, then shoot down flying prey. A Maroraid is the evolved form of a Cubone that has grown tough by overcoming the grief of losing its mother.
