Mankrow regularly try and fail to plunder boats and cruise ships, struggling to steal much due to their lack of hands. Passengers on these ships often find the antics amusing, feeding Mankrow after it attempts a theft.

Becoming active at night, it is known to swarm with numerous Murkrow in tow. On sunny days, schools of Mankrow can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves.
