Magelgon lug large shells made of cooled magma around to protect their softer tops from aerial Pokémon. Sometimes, Pokémon that try to attack them from above will bounce off and they will crawl over them, often cooking them alive.
It hardly eats while it awaits evolution. The shell on its back is made of hardened magma.
