Lomsect cultivates patches of mushrooms to grow in nutrient-rich mud that can be found in swamps and marshes. Despite having a lily pad atop its head, it does not like the sensation of being stepped on.

Lomsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. In the evening, it takes great delight in popping out of rivers and startling people.
