Although Leafbarel evolved to gain energy through photosynthesis, its size now demands more than sunlight can provide. To sustain itself, it blocks small sections of running water, creating nutrient-rich pools where algae grow, which it feeds upon.
It makes its nest by damming streams with bark and mud. Just like a plant, it uses photosynthesis.
