Lapceus are elusive, nearly-extinct, Pokémon that prance atop the surface of bodies of water with a graceful demeanor. The reason they were driven to near-extinction is that many hunted them for their glowing, magnificent horns.

Lapceus walk on water with an effortless grace. They are said to rescue sailors after a storm capsizes boats, though no one has ever been able to spot them in the act.

It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms. People have driven Lapceus almost to the point of extinction.
