Kakreon are surrounded by a tough and bulky cocoon that limits their movement. If a predator punctures the cocoon, they are met with pressurized flames that escape from the wound.
Kakreon's fluffy fur releases heat into the air so that its body does not get excessively hot. It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree.
