Kabusect is compelled by the fungus on its back to cut down trees with its scythe-like stone claws. Once they are felled, mushroom spores released from within Kabusect's body take root in the wood as it rots.

Kabusect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. Kabusect once swam underwater to hunt for prey.
