Heraros digs into tough tree bark with its horn in order to get at the sweet sap lying just underneath. If others intrude on its feeding process, it blinds them with bright flashes from the orbs on its horn and tail.
It gives off so much light that it can be seen even from space. They gather in forests seeking the sweet sap of trees.
