Haunterra's back is covered with graves and is often home to many Ghost-type Pokémon. It is believed that some ancient nomadic cultures traveled with Haunterra in their group, allowing them to bury their deceased without having to abandon them.
The graveyard it carries on Haunterra's back is said to bear the names of those who died at its hands. In the darkest of forests, it lurks, waiting for travelers to meet their untimely end.
Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests. If a Haunterra beckons you while it is floating in darkness, don't approach it.
