Goluor was created to serve as a sentinel. In this state it retreats into a shell-like casing that grants it defense, but little protection to its Trainer, as this form merely serves to recharge its immense power.
Originally making its home in the ozone layer, it hurtles to the ground when the shell enclosing its body grows too heavy. It is said that Goluor were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them.
