Feardra nests on seaside cliffs and hunts land and aquatic prey. While its adapted body allows it to dive deeper underwater than a Fearow, its bulky body and lack of a long neck reduce aerial agility.

The poisonous barbs all over its body are highly valued as ingredients for making traditional herbal medicine. Its long neck and elongated beak are ideal for catching prey in soil or water.
