Drowmander waves the flame on its tail in front of another being's face in order to hypnotize them to sleep. Once they've started slumbering, it feasts on their dream in order to keep its fire burning.

The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions. If your nose becomes itchy while you are sleeping, it's a sure sign that a Drowmander is standing above your pillow and trying to eat your dream through your nostrils.
