Deisparce rely on vibrations when underground to know if prey is above them. When they sense these vibrations, Deisparce use their tail to drill through the dirt. This causes problems for playgrounds, which sometimes end up sinking into the ground.

Its drill-tipped tail is used to burrow into the ground backwards. They cannot see, so they tackle and bite to learn about their surroundings.
