Chesper curls up and floats on the top of the water, resembling a large, spiked seed. If anything touches it, it flexes and hardens its body, causing its spikes to be able to pierce the attacker.

Chesper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. The quills on its head are usually soft.
