Chesor is protected by a shell similar to that of a chestnut. While the quills appear to be attached to the shell, they actually remain on Chesor's body if the shell falls off.
Originally making its home in the ozone layer, it hurtles to the ground when the shell enclosing its body grows too heavy. The quills on its head are usually soft.
