Chandelchou floats around the ocean attempting to lure ships towards its ghostly flames. It's said to lead them to troubled waters where shipwrecks are likely, so it can drain the life force from the victims as they tread water.

When it senses danger, it discharges positive and negative electricity from its two antennae. Being consumed in Chandelchou's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind.
